29th Annual Pickering Dragon Boat Festival – May 31 2025
The first (well, second, but the first Sharon participated in) regatta of the season was in Pickering. It was a cold and windy day without any medals, but a good start nonetheless! The team raced with good results despite the brutal winds. The Pickering venue…kinda so-so as it’s hard for spectators to see the boats and the boats themselves had almost no idea when to start as no start-horns were used. Still, a good day to test our new tent – which is now the unofficial team change room – and enjoy a day at the water. Toronto Islands, here we come!
